Terms and Conditions for Venue Use
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the use of the venue, including the studio, gallery, and B&B ("Venue") owned and operated by Studio DepartFrom ("Owner"). By using or renting the Venue, you ("Client" or "Guest") agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.
1. Booking and Set-up Requirements
In order to provide you with the best possible experience, we require advance notification of your needs, preferences, and any specific requests related to the setup and usage of the Venue. This includes details of any equipment, artwork, or specific requirements for your event.
2. Guest Conduct and Privacy
We believe in treating all guests with respect and expect the same in return. You are responsible for ensuring that your conduct, and that of your guests, respects the privacy and tranquility of our neighbors and other guests.
3. Check-In and Check-Out Policy
Due to the nature of the artwork and equipment, and to ensure proper security and privacy, we enforce a strict check-in and check-out policy. Please adhere to these times as agreed upon during booking.
4. Approved Guest List
Only individuals listed and approved by the Client are permitted in the Venue. The Client must inform the Owner of all guests in advance. No unauthorized or unknown guests will be allowed into the Venue without prior notice and approval.
5. Responsibility for Damages
The Client assumes full responsibility for the use of the Venue, its facilities, and its contents, including but not limited to artwork, furniture, and equipment (including the piano). The Client is liable for any damage, theft, or loss caused during their use of the Venue, whether by themselves or their guests. Any damage or loss will be charged to the Client's account or, where applicable, recovered through the Client's insurance policy.
6. No Smoking and No Drugs Policy
The Venue maintains a strict No Smoking and No Drugs policy, irrespective of local laws or customs. Any breach of this policy may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.
7. Termination of Agreement
The Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and cease providing services in the event of any breach of these Terms and Conditions or inappropriate conduct by the Client or their guests. In such cases, no refund will be provided, and the Client may be liable for any resulting damages or loss.
8. Liability and Indemnification
The Owner is not liable for any personal injuries, loss of personal belongings, or damage incurred by the Client or their guests during their use of the Venue. The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from the use of the Venue.
9. Payment and Cancellation Policy
By booking and/or using the Venue, the Client agrees to the stated payment terms and any cancellation policies. Failure to comply with these payment terms may result in additional fees or cancellation of services.
10. Agreement to Terms
By proceeding with the use or rental of the Venue, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. This Agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between the Owner and the Client.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands and/or Amsterdam. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of The Netherlands and/or Amsterdam.
